- I have a ZOOM 14.4 fax RPI+ modem. I couldn't get the WinRPI software
- working. I went through this long installation of COMit for windows.
- Then I ran this checkpri program. I was then using wrpi.drv as my comm
- driver. Also I had to modify my autoexec.bat to run their program.
-
- Supposedly, all I had to do was add +H11 to my modem initialization string.
- It was god awful. Of course I don't really know what I'm doing but
- I went back to my old driver. Everything works again.
-
- Maybe I should have struggled with it more. Perhaps you need to run the
- comit driver manager application in the background. However this modem is
- on a 386 with 5meg. I'm doing well enough. I have winsock, netscape and
- keaterm. I said Bye,bye to america online and the heck with rpi+.
